Tracktice is a studio-management web app that helps music teachers organise their students, lessons, schedules and income. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written for our teacher users and reflects how the app actually works.
Tracktice is operated by Jeremy Lim, a music teacher based in Singapore. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at thepopololopolo@gmail.com.
We only collect what we need to run the app for you:
We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data, and we ask that you do not store sensitive personal information in free-text notes.
We do not sell your personal data or your students' data, and we do not use it for advertising.
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run Tracktice. Your data may be processed by them on our behalf:
If you choose to connect Google Calendar, Tracktice creates a calendar in your Google
account and keeps your lessons and gigs in sync with it. To do this we request a single,
narrow permission โ calendar.app.created โ which only allows access to the
calendar Tracktice itself created. We cannot see, edit or delete any of your other
calendars or events.
Tracktice's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google Calendar data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not allow humans to read it except where you ask us to for support, where required by law, or for security purposes.
As a teacher, you enter records about your students. You are responsible for having an appropriate basis to record this information and, where relevant, for informing students or their parents/guardians. We process this data solely to provide the app to you and under your direction.
We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual records at any time within the app. If you ask us to close your account, we will delete your associated data, subject to any limited retention required for security or legal reasons.
As we are based in Singapore, we handle personal data in line with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local laws โ contact us and we will help.
Access to your data is protected by authentication and database-level access controls so that each teacher can only see their own account's data. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Tracktice is intended for use by teachers (adults). It is not directed to children, and children do not have their own accounts. Where a teacher records information about a minor student, the teacher is responsible for the appropriate consent.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
